Hello everyone. First a small introduction to who i am.

My name is Xince (Not in real life of course) and I'm a Swedish trumpet player. I stopped playing about 4 years ago since it took too much of my free time but now I want to start again and I need some help.

I'm going to buy a trumpet and start playing but I don't know if I'm going to go with a C or Bb trumpet. I really need some help here, which one is most commonly used by SKA artists?

Helping

I would say Bb is the most common. All the tabs here are written for Bb trumpet unless notated otherwise. I prefer the Bb myself.

Cheers mate. Really

Cheers mate. Really appreciated, I'm going to buy a Yamaha trumpet so I hope for the best... Also, know of any good websites where I can learn scales and notes

All I've found is this: http://www.trumpetstudio.com/scales/Allfinger.pdf

I would recommend the Herbert

I would recommend the Herbert L. Clarke book of Technical Studies to get you going with various scales and arpeggios.
