I'm a trumpet player and the other day I bought myself a Bb/F trombone. Any tips for a noob? I already know about brass maintenance and I understand that the slide is especially fragile. But any other dos or don'ts that might not be so obvious would be appreciated.
Oh also, is there anything I need to do for the trigger valve?

I've just realised that I've forgotten how to read bass clef, so the position charts I've found are useless. Can anyone tell me what a tuner set in C should read if I play the lowest note in 1st position, and then again but with the trigger pulled? I should be able to work out the rest from there. Thanks.
