I can't believe no one (including myself) has ever thought of that before, adding a time signature...although most songs on this site are in 4/4 anyway. I did one tab (or maybe 2) with a little system I tried out where I would connect notes with either - or =, so, in a nutshell, -- is a crotchet, - is a quaver, = is a semi-quaver, -= would be a dotted quaver. It might just complicate things, and I doubt you would be able to sight read it very well, but at least the rhythms are there. I don't know how you would write a demi-semi-quaver, but the majority of songs you would tab don't have anything that small in them. I think it was my tab for Everything Went Numb by Streetlight Manifesto that I actually used this method. It has a better explanation in the tab too, so I would look that up (Alto Sax or Trumpet I think) for an example. P.S. For anyone from North America (and anywhere else that doesn't use the breve/crotchet/quaver system, crotchet=quarter note, quaver=8th note, semi-quaver=16th note...) |

| I did this on my Tank! solo tab as well, had to go to 32nd notes on that system, and it's hard to do that. | ||
