I don't mean to be rude, but I notice English is not your first language, so if you don't understand something, ask me to repeat it (or I could TRY to say it in French, but your English seems much better than my French). Anyway, the number is not the position on trombone. The letter tells you what position to play (E1 would be position 7, E is the note, and 1 means it is the lowest E the trombone can play). The number beside the letter is not (I repeat) the position, it is the octave of the note based on the range of the trombone. E1= position 7, E2= position 2, C1= position 6, C2= position 3, but Bb1 and Bb2... would both be position 1. So you know what the letter means, the number refers to 1= the lowest note you can play, 2= the next lowest, 3= the next lowest, and so on. I hope this helps, good luck with the songs. Savage |

It's ok, your English was good enough for me to understand.
